Tonight's the Night

Tonight is the night I have been waiting for.  I am in the Bud Cave. The Lovely Sharon is lying on the Bud Cave couch looking “lovely”.  She has been busy this, very busy.  I am pretty excited, its been a long time, too long. I am just about ready to howl like, a dog.   Yep, you’ve guess it, its opening night of College Football.  The Lovely Sharon and I are watching the University of Utah playing in the very first football game broadcast on the Pac 12 Network.  I nuked us some frozen tacos from Costco, added some salsa and sour cream, a couple of big glasses of ice water to wash it down.  Sharon is tired from a long week of tournament golf and is quietly watching the game.  I know she is paying attention because she remarks about good plays at the time she should have remarked about good plays.

I am sitting in my leather chair, which is starting to look a little worn.  But it is my beloved chair and I pretty certain they will carry me out of the Bud Cave before my chair is carried out. I am wearing golf shorts and a red Utah tee shirt.  Earlier I had on some red Utah slip on sneakers, but I took them off and am now barefoot.

The second half just started and Utah is leading 21 to -0-.  (They just scored again, make that 28 to -0-. The sun is almost down at the football stadium at picture on the TV is red and green.  Green artificial grass, red clad fans and red Utah uniforms.  The high definition picture is beautiful. I am absolutely excited football season has started. After this game I am going to watch the BYU – Washington State game.  I pretty certain the Lovely Sharon will not stick around the Bud Cave for that game.
